D-briefing: Forcing the Security Issue - a pdf of the article America's talking about! In 2004, the USA suddenly realised D-locks could be broken into using a biro top. Written in 1992, this article was the first to raise the alarm in the UK. Discredited on publication for employing the services of professional villains, it seems the security providers used the smoke screen to do nothing to improve their products.

Freelancing for the UK cycling press over the last 15 years, I have come to specialise in the quirkier side of cycling, the social and political issues and, naturally, cycle touring. Some sample articles are a little dated but remain pertinent.
