As the interactive digital comic experience, Dawn of the Unread, moves towards closure bearing accolades from such as the Guardian University Awards (it’s a long story involving Trent University), it is good to hear that in a couple of months contributors will be revisiting their work to tailor it for a hardcopy comic. Comics are the one art that will always sit best in book or magazine form, so this is good news.
My own contribution about the adventure book, The Long Walk, suffered from some lousy scanning that appeared to add to the B&W base copy every speck of dust and microbe wafting in the air. But with time to kill, I have cleaned it all up, added some highlights to the drabber coloured pages and cut in the comic embeds so the whole story flows closer to my original intention.
